[Request] Ordering Want to Watch List

I think it'd be pretty useful if we could maybe list our "want to watch" list using numbers so we know what to watch first. If you have a really big "want to watch" list it's kind of hard to decide what you want to watch without looking through all the different entries. If there was a number system or something, it would make deciding what to watch first a lot easier.

Oh yes... absolutely. It may turn out to be way way to hard to put together, but it would be helpful for people like me with want to watch lists larger than their watched lists.

off hand this sounds difficult. the only way it might be reasonable is that you'd have to go to your anime list to change the order of what goes where, and in the anirec/each entry you still can only select want to watch but no order

Yeah I think it would be useful too. I've requested this in the past but it seemed to hard. I've had another idea though. Maybe you could set it up so users can drag and drop their anime to make an ordered list. For example, I could click and hold the series Bokurano to bring it up to the number Three spot instead of number ten or what have you. Then when you add new anime to watch, you just view all the anime in your list, go to the bottom of the page and drag it to the top or whatever. Then you wouldn't have to worry about drop down menus or anything like that. I really wish this could be possible, because I've got to find a way to tame my Want to Watch section...

that sounds about 5,000 times harder :)

Just add a "top priority" flag to the watchlist entry. Then list top=1 first, top=0 next. As for setting it, an ergonomics issue, perhaps

I doubt seriously that anyone needs more than two grades. Apart from just playing with them, at least.

Really? I'm sure you know more about this stuff than I ever will so I'll take your word on it. Well, I'll pitch another desperate idea then. On gamefly.com, they use a neat ordering system. All the games are numbered from 1-50. The number is displayed in a little box you can type in. Which means that you can just type the number 1 into the box that previously had number 50 and it will move up to number 1 and bump what was previously in that spot down to number 2. That's probably even harder than any of my other ideas or something, lol! Sorry!

or maybe just a top priority indicator. just like want to watch or stalled, you have a selection of anime that the user has selected to be watched first above stalled or want to watch and below now watching.

Watched
Watching
Stalled
Top Priority
Want to watch
Dropped
...

aspirin: no, your system is much easier than a drag and drop interface :p if i was to do this, i'd do it that way (you'd have to type in the ordeR).

Re: [Request]Ordering Want to Watch List

Does it need an order (as in no1, no2, no3) or would it suffice with "top priority", "high priority", "normal proirity", "low priority", "when I have nothing else to watch"
For some reason I imagine this to be easier to do (especially for those with over 100 anime in their to watch list), and I will not have to figure out if I want to see an anime as no16 or 17.
