Friends feature
 

I checked out the friends feature on the database part of this site, and I like it..

thank you algelic, your my best friend now. hehe

however there is no way to keep track on new comment that people have added or new people who added you. for that, one must keep return to the profile page and scroll down every time.

especially people who is the forum part, there no way to find out unless they return and load the profile page again.

for most, if someone would want to use this as a chat system, as I seen coming through, they it would be hassle.

I was thinking that a PM message would be sent to the user CP to notify the user.

an email is sent to a user when they have a new commnet. i don't plan on implementing a private messaging system but i might someday have a "new comments" message set up near the login info on the left. but for now, just check your email to see if you have new comments.

the forum is unconnected to the site accounts, so for that you'll have to use vbulletin's built in notification system (message popups or emails) to get info on that.
