that might be right, but before i had to scan from first post till the last to see what belonged together, nor was it easily viewable if something is still open (and at least one appears) or not. It seemed its more prone to loose track. And while i was at it i just edited all (for more clarity). But when i think of it, it's perhaps even better to have a complementary thread in Completed Requests/Bugs-forum where fixed things should be moved (and for that we need anyway know what is open or closed). :|

A search for "tail" now returns:

Angel Tales
[aka Tenshi no Shippo, Angel Tails, Angel's Tail]

It seems both "Angel Tails" (the translation as per Wikipedia) and "Angel's Tail" are searchable titles. It seems the latter was recently added in response to my post.

However given the number of Angels in the anime (12, IIRC) it would seem that the plural possessive noun forms:

"Angels' Tails" and "Angels' Tales"

should be used instead of the singular possessive noun form:

"Angel's Tail"

which should be removed.

Granted, as you mentioned, doing more than mere substring matching can become a headache -- not to mention listing all potential variants (eg with or without apostrophe), even with substring matching; however if you're going to add the possessive noun form, I think it should be the plural form(s) given the number of Angels in the anime.

ok, i THINK i'm caught up with all of this. let me know if i missed something. cythraul, your thing actually was kind of important -- i forgot to have the code check to see if ther'es an anidb value at all. if there's not, it now won't show the button. this only affects a handful of titles, but it should work now.
