[QUESTION] How to add details to show (e.g. Yamato)?

I was just wondering, how can I add details to a show. I noticed the latest yamato's don't even have tags ...

Do I have to contact sothis? I read the "anime submission guidelines", but the forum is locked to me ...

Up in the general anime discussion section there's a thread for suggesting tags. Beyond that, you can't.

Screenshots and Tags are like how drahken said. Synopsis are really only accepted from users who have been trained to write them.

You can try working with a character mod to get characters added (I say work with one, because most user submissions don't go through the 1st or even the 2nd time when they just submit them). Back before I became a character mod, I'd submit it and then have to talk to mods about what needed fixed (usually image, tags, and descriptions are the sections with the most problem submissions relations usually take a little getting use to but not as many bad submissions). I haven't seen Yamato, but if you are lucky, one of the other character mods may have seen one of the series.

It's been about 3yrs since there was a guide up, do you really think one would appear in the ~2 weeks since that post? :p

There hasn't been a guide up since v2 of the site went down, back around early 2009. It's not that there isn't ever going to be a new one, but it's been on the back burner since then. There is no telling when a new guide will get created & put in place, but I wouldn't count on it happening any time soon. When a new guide does get put up, I'm certain there will be an announcement thread for it here on the forum, thus if you have to ask "is it up?", the answer is certain to be "no".
For now, just make do with tags & characters.

mods, in the future, when a feature is uncertain, please leave it at 'it isnt up at this time' rather than a long explanation of why its been a huge amount of time and isnt possible in the near future, and/or leave off anything like 'this is super low priority' - i can reply with the details as only i am the one aware of what's still a priority.

ikarus: we accepted screenshots till fairly recently, even without a guide - due to very inconsistent results, about a month ago i asked people to stop sending things in until a guide is up. we're currently working on some pretty big features so the time is being spent there, but i hope to have it up soon ^_^
