I wanted to upload the opening song of an anime series to YouTube. but I only have its episodes in RMVB format, and YT doesn't accept that; they want it in MP4.
Since money is out of the question, I searched for freeware and used the RMVB converter from RMVBcodec.com. Conversion went through ok [or I think it did...] then I used X2X Free Video Trim to grab the opening song and get rid of the rest. I double-checked the finished product. The sound is in sync, the video's ok. Uploaded it. I watch it in YouTube and... IT'S HORRIBLE!! The song plays on quadruple speed [although the video plays at normal speed] and the music skips and fizzles and pops. What just happened? Did I do something wrong? I read through the guides that I have to choose a certain audio codec for my video to make sure that the music would be in sync, but 1. I didn't bother with it since the opening song was playing fine before I uploaded it 2. After finding out that it was messed up, I discovered that neither the RMVB converter or the video trimmer had the option to control the sound. I don't know if the problem was with the converter or the cutter program. help? Last edited by ChillWinterheart; 09-28-2009 at 02:33 PM. |

Any Video Converter will convert to mp4, and it allows you to trim the videos. It works well. Earlier today I used it to do the exact same thing you are doing to upload this video. For some reason I could not find this video in Japanese.

MediaCoder - more than a universal audio/video transcoder It just works.
