AVG safe search - help me get rid of it!

OMG I boot up my computer, go online, and up pops this window asking if I want an add-on for AVG called safe search or some shit. I'm like 'SURE! Safe searching online - hellz yeah!'

Like a noob I think its probably dynamic and happily procure the add-on... and it's put YAHOO on my frickin' search. So now everytime I type 'anime-planet' or ANYTHING else into the address bar, it goes first to yahoo search results page for me to choose my selection.

I DON'T WANT IT!!!

I want to type 'anime-planet' and come straight to the fucking site. If I want a search engine I'll bloody go visit one! Fucking hell. Now I don't know how to get rid of it. There's no option in 'Options' to remove the feature. Grrrrrrrrr.

By the way, that didn't actually work. Next time I browsed for websites, it did the exact same thing.

In the end I had to uninstall AVG and install it again without the crappy add-on. Now my computer is quick once more.

I actually had to look up what "AVG" is supposed to be. You poor darlings. I'll try to find some crapware to install on my Mac in sympathy. Maybe something from Adobe, they're said to litter plugins everywhere.

AVG used to be a half decent, free piece of anti virus. Unfortunately, as new versions came out its become more resource hungry and started to slow my laptop to a crawl when scanning. I'm glad I got out before they started tagging on all of their extra "bonuses", and Symantec is doing a better job without stealing all of the processor.
