I looked on the FAQ list, and I didn't see what exactly "IRC" is.
Googled it, but I didn't get much luck.. So, what is it? ^^ If this question has been already answered, I'm so sorry - I didn't see it on the FAQ list and I'm way way too lazy to go through 8 pages and manually search for it. Thanks! |

To put it simply, IRC is chat. It's similar to IM, except that it focuses on group chats instead of 1-on-1 chats.

IRC (Internet Relay Chat) A early form of communications before Instant messaging. Normally conducted via channels, although can be privately done. The ability of irc has increased since its early yrs. Now you can share collections of files or download collections of files via irc client software, the most commonly known version is mIRC created by Khaled Mardam-Bey. Most fansub groups have irc channels.
