nvm
edit: sorry about this useless reply, I asked for a source and then saw it the second I replied and then had to read the blog to think about what to reply So, this is really shitty but this has been the rumour all along basically. The faster they sort this out the quicker they can save face (or is it too late?). It is appalling it took them this long to inform us about these developments. I really don't care that PSN has gone down, Sony can take as long as they like bringing it back up if they can be very confident it won't happen again - it's their lack of communication that has disappointed me. Wow. Makes me glad I've never used my credit card on there. But yeah, I'm with Coffee, they can take as long as they need to, it's not like when 360 went down and I was still paying for my online service. Though playstation plus members might be a little bit less than thrilled.

I'm not too bothered about the rest of it, and I think that Sony deserves to get knocked down a peg to some degree considering how far they've gone in order to claim that the PS3 is totally un-hackable in any way. Removing features like installing OS software onto the system was really pushing it.
However, I'm not happy about the potential of personal information getting out. I've bought DLC for games on PSN before and I really don't want to deal with having to change credit cards and such. |
