ON Gunota, news has been out for some time of a Gundam RPG for the PS2. Here are the news posts:

What is...Gundam: True Odyssey? UPDATED
A mysterious, new Bandai website (the Gundam: True Odyssey main page) promises the debut of a Gundam RPG called "Gundam: True Odyssey" with the subtitle "Ushinawareshi G No Densetsu". No details yet other than what looks to be the appearance of the 13th Autonomous Corps icon and a message saying the site will be updated on April 25th.

Early reports are saying Akiman (Akira Yasuda), character designer for Turn A Gundam), is the character designer for the game. ¶ 6:13 PM

Gamespot did a write-up on the game based on a Famitsu article. Many details are revealed, including that True Odyssey will be a completely original storyline not set in any of the current Gundam universes. ¶ 7:42 PM

I guess it could work, but it's a liscenced game and that generally means suck. (Still mad over the piece of crap that was 1-Year war.)
SRW is the main exception to the rule, and it gets by by being so incredibly over the top that you just can't not like it.

The Gundam True Odyssey main page has received an overhaul, complete with character profiles, prologue, gallery, etc: http://g-rpg.com/index.html

Jeez, the main character guy looks like a girl. Of course, many people thought that Kira Yamato would be a girl since Kira is a girl's name. But of course, many people most likely thought the same of Camille Vidan.

Which brings me to a slightly off-topic point: So far, every main character of the animated (and most of the non-animated) Gundam saga has been male. Come on Sunrise, just for some variation, you should stick a girl into the Gundam main character role. It'll open the door for a whole new range of possibilities for main character development.

That's one of the things I like about SRW, you don't always have to play as an angsty shounen who finds himself and becomes a better person through his trials. I guess Bandai realized that any SRW game is gonna be filled to the brim with angsty young males so there's no need to add more. :P

obviously Telu havent played Federation VS Zeon or Encounters in Space, thats great gundam games!!!
