Sucker Punch

A new movie is coming out next year from the guy who did 300 and Watchmen, Zack Snyder is coming out with a new movie and that movie is Sucker Punch. Really just from looking at the trailer it's hard to tell what exactly the story will be about but one thing I do know is that it will have samurai, dragons, strippers, guns, and swords. Also that from the look of somethings it also seems to based sometime in WW2 era which makes many things about the movie highly confusing. Though it does look really good and while I have no idea about what the movie is about, the description didn't help much, I've got to say that I'm definitely looking forward to it. Any thoughts on whether you think it will be good or not?

Looks like a young girl is taken to a mental institution in Vermont. Possibly anywhere from 1920-'s 1950's, although there are missiles in the movie and a minigun.

The description looked pretty straightforward. The girl is in the mental institution, she uses her imagination to "escape" from the real world, the boundaries between the real and imaginary blur. Wasn't this already done, in a non-obnoxious package.

I thought 300 was ****, Watchmen was alright ( I did not read the visual novel), but this one just looks absolutely ridiculous, ridiculous as in bad.

300 was a great movie, Watchmen one of the BEST i've ever seen, being very different from the thousands of cliche movies i've seen. Sucker Punch looks like it has potential, i hope it will be at least as good as the other two ^^

This might be a good movie for laughs. Here's what the writer thought:
"People like dragons, and samurai, and chicks, and guns, oh yeah explosions too. That would make an awesome movie!"

But seriously just be glad there seem to be no giant robots in pirate outfits.

The best movie I've ever seen... hmm I don't really know, also the best movie I've ever seen isn't necessarily my favorite movie... okay instead of answering your question I will just tell you two of the movies I've seen the most.

1) Fight Club- Not a huge Pitt fan, but he is great in this

2) American Psycho- This movie got blasted alot when it came out but I think that because it was marketed as a slasher movie when it is more a black comedy/satire and I think people just were not sure what to make of it. This movie is hilarious and also disturbing. And really you haven't lived if you haven't seen someone get axed to Huey Lewis and the News. YouTube - ‪GREAT SCENE - American Psycho‬‎

3) Pulp Fiction- I don't think I need to explain this one.

Are these the best movies? No, but they are ones that I can watch over and over again.

I'm pretty excited for this. I don't think it will be the best movie ever made or anything, but I have very high hopes that I'm going to walk out of that theater overly satisfied. They may have just thrown everyone's favorite things into one movie but that's what happens in fantasy, also this movie isn't an adaptation of a book, or a graphic novel. These characters aren't taken from comic history, this isn't a remake and definitely not a sequel. Dare I say this is ORIGINAL! For that alone I will see this because it's rare to find an original movie these days. Also DID YOU SEE THAT DRAGON FLAME AND THE EXPLOSIONS WITH GIANT SAMURAI AND **** YES!!!! lol.

I'm actually a fan of Snyder's films. 300 was an ode to manhood, and he did the seemingly impossible, by making a Watchmen movie that pleased both the average viewer, and die-hards. I'll be surprised if this isn't one of the most bad-ass films I've ever seen considering the master of the slow-mo action sequence is behind it.
