I've been searching for a while but couldn't find anything like it what the topic title describes. So i figured that one of you guys might know!
...Maybe. Well it's worth a shot at least. Edit (one year later): Just wanted to bump this post to say that i found another site that would be a good candidate for a videogame equivalent to anime planet The Backloggery Basically GamerDNA is decent if you want a recommendations system that's vaguely like Animeplanet but The Backloggery is perfect if you want somthing to keep track of your games the way Anime planet keeps track of your anime although i only ended up using gamer DNA for about 2 weeks because it just wasn't what i was looking for in the end (a backlog and played games manager mostly) I also found howlongtobeat.com - How long does it take to beat your favorite games? which is another site that has the same functions as the backloggery which has some features that it doesnt (like an estimation of the time it will take to beat your game/complete your backlog) but its incredibly minimalist but it is probably the closest to A-P even if it isnt very pretty if you're a speedrunner and want a place to store/manage your times on this one will probably be your favourite. If you're after something to keep track of your time spent gaming, I would suggest Xfire. If you just want a list, I think there are quite a lot of things out there, but none of them are very good. If you mean a site that's similar in terms of reviews and recommendations, then IGN and GameSpot are the obvious choices. All of those sites will have community aspects, of course.

Thank you!
just what i wanted! Only downside is that unless I'm missing something it doesn't look like i can have a "want to play" or some kind of wish list. Other than that this is perfect, I especially like how accurate and in depth the recommendations system is. Last edited by Lithium; 05-12-2010 at 11:46 AM. |
