well lets see....since jan 1 eh???
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mistborn_series http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elantris http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonfly_(Durbin_novel) i read a lot actually ....it is not unusual to read one book a night if it is new to me or to take several nights to reread one i have gone through before...i don't think it will take all that long to read 50 books...

Luckily I've got a decent backlog with the current books to keep me occupied but soon enough I'll be back in the store picking up 30+ dollars worth of paperbacks to peruse.

Of course with the advent of the e-readers you have an option that's cheaper than paperback... assuming they don't go and delete it *cough*Amazon*cough*. |

I'm kinda up in arms about Brandon Sanderson. The Mist trilogy was a really really good read. But him taking over writing of the Last wheel of time novel makes me kinda iffy. I got tired of Jordan's writing way back when book 7 came out And since they've declared the last book a "thirds book" I don't know if I'll ever get back into the series anytime soon. And by soon I mean since book 7 was released back in the day. XD
Just finished up The Stepsister Scheme which was a pretty good take on old fairytales (sleeping beauty as an assassin? oh my...) so I'm interested in its sequel The Mermaid's Madness to see if it'll be just as lively. House of Leaves on the other hand is going aggonizingly slow. It's a great concept book but the pace at which you read it is astoundingly slow. I'm barely past page 92 and it feels like I've read over 500 pages in 6 years. I need a wormhole to finish this thing. |

XD this kinda surprised me when it was announced....i had sort of given up on the wheel of time considering the length of time between installments....ands then he has the nerve to go and die .....so i had all but written the series off .....but after reading the books that sanderson has written i may just pick it up again......i have not read any of the books except the first one .....i generally prefer to wait till an author has finished with a series before reading it.. |
