today i m starting anew since i just got my legit version of the game. installing as we speak, i kinda hope its still english though.

so far the magi circle has been my favourite quest. and not just due to the ridiculous amounts of permanent stat boni you get.

but because you see your companions dreams/nightmares

Haha same. I'm exactly what you are atm. And Wrynne is the healer type mage. You'll find the end decision at Redcliffe pretty difficult.. at least I did since the decisions you make affect what happens later on. Makes you think twice about what you want to say

Yea, I loved that part of the tower. Honestly think that's the longest part of the tower too. I REALLY REALLY hated the Templar's Nightmare though. Lets just say I tried every door and mouse hole multiple times...... Until I realized a certain something in one of the rooms.

at first it was frustrating, not exactly knowing what to do (as i thought the different levels could all be reached through the portals in the first level...but then i advanced quickly once i realised that the teleport stone wasnt just for show...


either way, when will it start downloading my additional content?

i entered all the codes and shit, but it wont download it. at least it doesnt show it.

What quest are you talking about?

I hope I didn't miss it lol. To fight the demon inside the child in Redcliffe Castle, I chose to do the ritual and sacrifice the queen, instead of going to the Circle of Magi.

Haha! That's the one I chose. The options were:

Kill the kid, use the blood mage and sacrifice the queen to send one of your mages in to kill the demon, OR go to the Circle of Magi.

I can definitely say, just from what I've experienced thus far, that my next character will be an Elven Blood Mage

since Blood Mages are the evilest of mages that NO ONE likes, in fact they're sought after and executed, and the fact that Elves are the slave race in the game.. that race that's treated like shit.

I honestly believe this is the first game that I've played that treats the Elven race as the servant/slave race. It makes my side hurt

yeah, in arcanum i ve seen orcs and half orcs as slaves.

the recruiting the magi quest involves going to the top of the tower, if you want to help them anyway.

there you will find a sloth demon that banishes you into some void dreamworld.

also, as of now i m gonna join in on the chorus of "day 1 DLC is crap", albeit for other reasons: it doesnt work. well, at least i got a bonus disc (and a stinky cloth map) and am thus not quite as screwed as people who went for the digital deluxe version.

I was thinking the same thing, the way elves were treated in this game was awesome and have never seen it before, but then I remembered, "O yeah, I remember, they were treated like shit in this game too." but I JUST forgot the name of the game lol. Gonna drive me crazy too, I'll try and remember.

Btw, Spike is in this game. I repeat, English dub Spike is in this game! He was trying to sell me dwarven wares in Denerim! He's a wee little dwarf.

i finally got the DLC to run, and now i feel kinda stupid. obviously the firewall had the instructions still saved from my, eh, former installation.
I guess it takes rather slow due to all the people downloading it right now...

i think i ll watch a movie or something.

I just got done the Ashes quest.

Ok, this game is amazing. Seriously, such a small part of the entire game, and it took so long. That entire quest was like the entire plot of a game. The amount of detail, the beautiful zones, the puzzles, and all the riddles. I had to stop playing just to come over here a gush about this game. Really, an amazing game.

And wtf is with the DLC, you have to pay for it? Screw that.
