Ok, done with Metroid Prime. I found it to be very weak in the beginning since it was waaaaay too easy, but it picked itself up quite soon and became a very entertaining game. Although I have to say that I definitely prefer Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The storyline feels more solid in Echoes and it's more of a challenge. And I loved Dark Samus. Although the Phazon suit in this one is definitely Samus' coolest suit:

Assassin's Creed 2!!!
You also forgot to include Edy Nelson only being a minor character in the bad part.... Which reminds me... I'm still trying to trudge along with the anime.... |

While it's true it was annoying having her freak out from time to time, it was just soooo rewarding to see her cute smile and hearing her say, "Yarimashita wa!"

Just finished the new Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel demo. Can't wait for the whole thing. I'll need to bring back Eifer after Thanksgiving. Somehow though I get the feeling Strudel will be annoying as hell. Can't wait to try out Schwer's new level . . . *insert evil smiley here . . .*

I had to write a compare and or contrast essay for my English class so I thought I'd do a review of what I thought of Pokemon Diamond compared to the earlier games. Although I finished playing it 2 years ago and I did this for a class assignment, it still seems fitting to put my review here. Also, for whatever reason, my teacher made the class put hyperlinks in our essays so that's why they are there.
Since 1996, there have been numerous generations of Pokémon games, with the latest releases being the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games of the fourth generation. Like all the new Pokémon releases, this new generation brings forth several new Pokémon and improved graphics. What makes this generation truly unlike its predecessors though, is its complete lack of originality and anything new. When the first generation of Pokémon games came out, they introduced the story, setting, gameplay, etc. and they were great games. The second generation of games came out and borrowed much from the first generation. There is an all around similar story where a deranged professor gives two kids, who are rivals, some pokémon so they can collect all the pokémon on the Earth while trying to beat each other and the “Elite Four”, who are the final bosses of the game. There is the evil gang like organization bent on taking over the world and a series of “gyms” where you go to fight the bosses of the games. While it took much from the first generations, it also added many new features such as more pokémon types and moves as well as pokemon breeding to make for a more diversified gameplay. The third generation of Pokémon games yet again took the basic story of the first game, but changed it so that there were two gang like groups to make for a somewhat different story, many sidequests and minigames, such as pokémon contests, berry blending, and secret bases, to make for a much greater gameplay experience. The fourth Pokémon generation however, merely was a mix of the three previous generations. They took the story of wanting the beat the “Elite Four”, catching all the pokemon, and stopping a gang like organization from the first game, the old pokémon types and moves from the previous games, and the sidequests from the third game. The only thing original about the games from the fourth generation of Pokémon is the art for the new pokémon. Heck, not even the new pokémon are truly new! All the game makers really did was take the old pokemon, give them a new name, and then give them new art. That is to say that, instead of having Pidgey, Pideotto, and Pidgeot, they now have Starly, Staravia, and Staraptor who are almost exactly the same as the former except in name and art. The previous generations are also guilty of just renaming to get new pokemon, but it’s forgivable because they actually introduced new content aside from “new” pokémon. While the unoriginality of the fourth generation of Pokémon is regrettable, what really adds insult to injury is just how outrageously easy and insanely long they made the games in the fourth generation. Now, Pokémon games have always been quite long, and as far just beating the elite four, have been fairly easy. But the fourth generation brings this to an entirely new level! The leaders of the “gyms” who are supposed to be the bosses of the game are now no harder to defeat then the common pokémon trainers one meets when going to a new area. Then only to make this game worse, the game developers make us sit through this unoriginal and boringly easy game longer by doing no less than making the game twice as long as any of the previous games. Before, the games took me anywhere between twenty to thirty or so hours to beat, but this new generation took me fifty hours to get about seventy-five percent through the game. It was at that point that I finally just got fed up with the game and quit playing it. I tried to force myself to beat it just because it was the new pokémon game and I waited for years for it to come out, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Never before have I been so disappointed with a pokémon game. The unoriginality synergized with its dumbed down difficulty and outrageous play time really just made for a very poor game and waste of money. I’d much rather beat a third generation game for my 7th time than have to sit through playing one run through of one of the fourth generation games. Last edited by yipeskop; 02-08-2010 at 01:21 PM. ME2: Extremely fun, but lacking in enough side missions to make certain things possible, as far as I know.=\

Just finished with Assassin's Creed 2
The games was...awesome... No words to describe it. The gameplay is so much better than the original AC1, and the storyline was fantastic too. The ending, was, well.. Just play it, guys. Desmond ftw!! I so loved the storyline about Exactly, THE fist fight!!! Now, waiting impatiently for FFXIII
