Funny, but biased more than anything. It's pretty clear any genre/game he likes is going to get a favorable review, and any that he doesn't will be slammed completely. The only time that bugs me though is when I check the comments and I see people say stuff like "Well I'm not going to get this game now." That just makes me facepalm. I've been trying to think of which one is my favorite, but can't really pick one still :P

Believe it or not, I've been watching Yahtzee since his Fable:TLC review. xD

As far as reviews go, he is NOT one to make judgements based on (But still better then XPlay), but he is one of the most brilliant comedians on the web. I <3 ZP.

well, i suppose we could stir this thread towards video game video reviewers altogether. i ve watched some avgn, sage and lee and have to say, ZP is just way funnier. avgn typically only plays ****** games and tells you how ****** they are, lee seems to like everything and the sage...well, him too, although not quite as much lee.

I found Yahtzee (ZP) to have similar tastes to mine. Especially in older reviews he pinpointed my POV precisely so I tend to consider his opinions. When you take the jokes away he is just a solid critic. He is not paid to like what he sees, his job is to point weakness and shittiness in games.

So when he obliterates a game you know there is nothing good in there. When he just gnaws on one aspect then you know rest is OK.

It is not that he is too harsh - it is just that they don't make good games anymore.

Love the show, I take some of the things he says but with like any review i watch/read i never let that be the deciding factor.
I'll always download a demo, watch gameplay footage etc before I buy.
Though alot of the stuff he says about games i agree with... But I watch these for the more comedic value... For good reviews i go to Noobtoob.com and A. watch the vpodcast hosts show, listen to the mini podcasts from users or look in their review section for the really well thought out reviews they post up.

I used to post on the forum/comment thing at one time.

Liked him better before he had to change his music to a non copy written piece.
Sometimes the songs would fit the rants.

I tend to enjoy his takes on most games.
