Fate/Stay Night / Fate/hollow ataraxia . . . and the story of Quizap's avatar

Okay, another very very famous one. Not as famous as Miyu, but still very famous.

Anyhoo, Quizap is currently using Caren Ortensia from the Fate/Stay Night series, specifically Fate/hollow ataraxia. Caren is a rather famous character, mainly for her clothing and her . . . personality. She is also easily one of my favorite characters in the FSN series (tied with Sakura).

An orphan who became a priestess of the Church and a member of the Burial Agency (like Ciel), she becomes the mediator of the Holy Grail War. She oversees the War as an impartial mediator of the endless loop of FHA.

Personality wise, she loves teasing people and will mercilessly poke fun at people's weak points while keeping a stone-faced facade (make you think of anyone? ). Despite all this, she never faults anyone for their sins and is like a saint. Also, despite being a priestess, she dresses extremely seductively because of mobility and because she knows it will seduce men. She also feels pain whenever around evil or possessed people, which is why she is always covered in bandages (when around Avenger she is pierced all over with spikes). She is the master of Lancer and Gilgamesh.

FHA, as you can see in my lists, is one of the better VNs out there (and by far superior to that horrible thing known as FSN). FHA introduces not only Caren but Bazett (another great character) and Avenger as main characters of an endless four day loop of the Holy Grail War. Bazett, by the way, showed up in the anime as Lancer's original master . . . well, some of her . . . Highly recommended read.

Hmmm for some reason she reminds me of Illyasviel von Einzbern, except without the red eyes. >_< How does Fate/Hollow relate to the Fate/Stay story line? Sequel? Alternate Universe? Etc?

It takes place after the events of Fate/Stay. I haven't read the VN for it but I've been doing my research on it and it's WAY better then Fate/Stay.. WAY better just from the tid bits I've learned.

my GF played the h-game years ago for Fate/Stay Night, and told me about this.

So it's probably accurate.. though i'll have to ask her to be sure.

Kaleido-Ruby is enough to put FHA over FSN for most fanbois . . .

FHA takes place after FSN, introduces new (the best of the FSN cast I think) characters, and is overall a much better story than FSN like Quizzy said. You can see where it sits on my lists.

As for Illyasviel, I think she looks more like Irisviel. ;p

That's not my Kaleido-Ruby by the way. I don't like Rin enough to pay for that.

i guess i'll have to watch the FHA series... i thought FSN was ok, but the best characters weren't featured enough. Rin and Archer were pure win, it was a shame they were supporting characters. I was not a fan of Shiro and Sabre... talk about dull, no matter how decent the end was.

FHA hasn't been made into a series yet, it's only a visual novel still.
