Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince

I think it's a fair 7/10 for me. Personally, I would prefer to split the movie into 2 parts like what they will do with Deathly Hollows instead of cramming it all up in one 2 1/2-hour movie. I like the effects, though.

Coraline

A pretty good interpretation of the book, and the animation was amazing. The music was good too. I give it an 8/10. The only thing that bothers me is the addition of the character Wybie.

Public Enemies

Great movie, though long. 8/10 for me. Johnny Depp showed his acting skills yet again in this movie. It was long, but he brought a very aspiring character. Too bad Christian Bale's poker face and seemingly monotonous voice ruined the show.

Twilight

Eh, it was just ok, not nearly as good as the book. I don't find Robert Pattinson to be that great of an actor, and don't understand why people find him so hot, so he just didn't live up to what I wanted it to be. Got better as it went along though and I'm sure I'll see the next one when it comes out.

I finally got around to seeing Watchmen(extended version.) I've never read the comic, but the movie was absolutely brilliant for me.

Only complaints were 3 things overall:

1. The slow-mo was annoying and overdone, although, not nearly as bad as 300.

2. The dramatic posing, and dramatic pauses were excessive and tedious.

3. That random sex scene in the middle of the film in the ship, that really served no purpose whatsoever, lasted for like a minute straight, was entirely slow-mo moaning and humping, and bordered on soft core porn. At least the previous sex scenes in it served a purpose, this one was just flat out strange.

Otherwise, I loved it, and definitely plan on getting myself a copy. Now I just have to make up my mind about whether I want the Blu-ray or DVD version. Might potentially be worth planning for the future. I can run Blu-ray movies, I just don't have an HDTV to display the full resolution on, yet.

Also, what's with people freaking out over Dr. Manhattan's penis. If you put together all the scenes throughout the movie where you actually saw him fully naked, it would probably only total up to about 1 minute of footage, in the entire THREE HOUR film. Not to mention, due to him being bright blue, it half-blended in with his leg and made it difficult to even notice unless you were staring straight at it. Seriously, people need to fucking GROW UP.

Agreed, the sex scene in Owl was overdone, not that I have anything against porn but never expected it in middle of watchmen. Still the movie follows comic book frame by frame so the sex scene had to look like this. It is just that hand drawn humping is less... explicit.

Just watched the first episode of Anna-san no Omame. Skimming over it at first I thought I would be bored by it and hate Becky by the end, but actually it was a lot of fun, totally cute and energetic, and it's one of those stories where the ubiquitous over-acting in Japanese dramas actually works. That said, will it be the same kind of joke for ten episodes? But what about that boss, woof woof, sexy women in business suits, yes please.
