Actually, one night I caught the end of this foreign film, not sure what it was called or what language it was in, but it appeared to be about a girl whose mum had died, and she was HEAPS young, like 6 or 7, and she was an awesome actress. Most of the time she conversed with her mum's ghost (or imagined it - not sure of the premise), and it was brilliant emotional acting. I would love to know what the movie was called.

Anyone know of any other films where you consider the child acting to be brilliant?

I just watched Iron-man and it ROCKED! Stay after the credits if you did not see it yet! My inner fanboy is very happy after watching this movie!

^ Yeah, I heard Iron Man was fantastic, though I have yet to see it myself.

I recently watched the first Indiana Jones movie (Raiders of the Lost Arc). I had seen it a long time ago when I was too young to remember. Man... great movie AND Harrison Ford =

Have not met anyone that does not love it yet!

Just watched Stargate: Arch of Truth movie and it was good! I wanted more but it finished off the series ok for a movie.

I am just waiting for free time to see Speed Racer next. I am staying away from spoilers but sales numbers don't look so good. It's a remake and it's all hyped up on crack so I guess people will bitch. I still think I will like it and the special effects look cool.

Highlander: The source

It's the new Highlander movie that I guess adds/ends the series. I was a fan of the series but never finished it. The movie had good special effects but the acting in parts really really sucked! Glad I got a used copy and not a new one for over $20. YUK! It had some cool moments but over all... don't spend money on it unless your a hardcore fan of the TV series.

On a side note... I have never seen the other movies so I want to see them too. Keeping an eye out for them at the stores.

Why We Fight

Interesting documentary on why the United States thinks of itself as the world's protector and primary military power. Touches on the process the USA goes through to mobilize troops, and points out the pitfalls of it.

I enjoyed it but I felt it didn't try hard enough to defend the current system, so it did feel a bit slanted. I learned a bit from it as they taught none of this in the Government class I took in high school and it kind of put me in a "well, what do I do now?" state of mind.

Fun movie to watch with the kids :D
