I hope they actually made it a Rainbow Six game this time. Halo six: Vegas was not worthy of the Tom Clancy name! |

it is actually going to be alot better then the first one. that is from what i have already seen about it. and also there trying to improve some problems the first one had. it should be a interesting game. by the way don't diss the first vegas. do you realize it is closest thing to a rainbow six game in a long time. lockdown was a piece of crap and black arrow wasn't to great either. it is the first game in awhile to go back to the style of rogue spear. but 2 should make you feel better about vegas.

Raindow Six 3 was the only decent Rainbow Six game on a console. The only reason people say Black Arrow sucked is because it was pretty much just an expansion pack. It was Rainbow Six 3 with new maps and a few fixed glitches (the lean-walk glitch). Lockdown was a run and gun p90 failure. I still remember how pissed off I was every time I'd throw my nerve gas, which was maxed out, and people would just run through it as if it wasn't even there. With Vegas the developers promised to bring the game back to it's roots. I still don't quite understand what part of the root running around with an over powered (compared to everything else) SMG gunning down everything that moves. Also I don't get where the idea that it's realistic to have people put their backs to the wall for cover just like in the movies. What REALLY killed the R6 franchise though is the points system. Everyone's more concerned with earning as many points as possible to rank up faster, so that they can unlock all the weapons. That means you've got the whole player base running and gunning in the game mode that will give them the most amount of points -- sharpshooter. Since the player doesn't have to worry about dieing and waiting a long time to play again because they've got infinite lives, there's no reason for them to move cautiously. Turning Rainbow Six: Vegas into nothing more than a variation of a shooter like Halo (hence why I call it Halo Six: Vegas). |

well part of the reason i say vegas 1 is alot better then 3 or lockdown is because of the AI. vegas AI is quite good. i am not saying vegas 1 is all that but i am staying it is a big improvement over the previous titles, the last few ones. but it still has a ways to go. vegas 2 should make you alot more happier. also don't get rainbow six confused with metal gear soild, isn't really a game about stealth well it is good to stealth but it isn't what the whole game revolves around. though right now it seems more like sphion filter if you remmber that old game. but also the guns are alot better in vegas though they need to make them more realistic, it still has some problems like the SPAS is pump action and the damage is way off on alot of guns.

I do enjoy the fast roping and rapelling. It's always fun to come through a window. In multiplayer moving down outside a window and then hanging upside down to pistol anyone going by was always fun to do. The reflections on the insides of the window made it tricky to see people outside. I really hate the health regeneration though. It makes the game WAY to easy. shouldn't be able to heal your squad unlimited times either, or at least they should have lasting effects from being shot (limping, walking slower, harder time aiming). I wasn't talking about stealth either. I was simply talking about tactics. There weren't many in Vegas compared to Rainbow Six 3 and Brown Arrow because in Vegas most of the game play was run and gun. There was no time for tactics. The cover system should be like the one in Ghost Recon. Stick your shoulder to the wall. And yes, I am picky. When I pay 50$ for a game, I expect a certain degree of quality. There used to be many different types of First Person Shooters. Something to appeal to everyone. Now it's all becoming one. Everything's becoming fast paced and run and gun. I don't want my Tom Clancy to play like Halo, and I don't want Halo to play like Tom Clancy. If I wanted peanut butter in my chocolate, I'd buy a damn Reese chocolate bar! It seems all the Tom Clancy games have been screwed up lately. ![]() I really didn't like Splinter Cell Double Agent's multiplayer either. It was WAY to fast paced compared to the other ones. People just forgot about the objectives and it always turned into a deathmatch, which sucks. I liked the multiplayer in Chaos Theory and Pandora Tomorrow. Double Agent did have some cool moves though and the female spy, but that's it. |
