Maybe they can do the Thrawn trilogy now.

Disney can't do anything that lucas hasn't already done by way of pure crap.....i have my original star-wars and Indianian Jones movies before the politically correct remakes....so hopefully the whole thing will die that much quicker...

I happen to like Disney. PoC was fun, Tangled was fun, John Carter was fun, Avengers was fun etc.

They have Burton and Bruckheimer.

Pixar was also fun up until 2006, then it all went to artsy crap.

As far as Hollywood goes, Disney is still my favorite.

Frankly, I never liked SW. It felt like a boring parody of the sci-fi genre that took itself seriously.
As far as I'm concerned this is great news. Unless Lucas will still have any say in the matter, then it's not great news, just news.

Disney huh, I love Disney, between 1928-1950 those were some good quality cartoons but now, Disney you guys can go f**k yourselves with a poisonous cactus.
Your movies have turned so s**tty i wouldn't even use your stuff to wipe my a**.
Not to mention a 7th Star Wars movie, NO NO NO
Star Wars is done, you can't make a seventh star wars movie without ruining it.
I knew they were running out of idea's before i mean it's not hard to tell when you notice some of their new crap (Cars 1/2, Mars Needs Moms, Frankenweenie, Tangled 1/2 and treasure buddies)
The way Disney is going their going to try and buy out what ever major movie production company remains and then it'll be nothing but Disney crap.
On a side it's not all bad i mean with this, it'll give me more of a reason to play a nice fun game with Disney on the downside (for Disney) it's not completely family friendly.

(Probably most likely it's NSFW so I'll put it in Spoiler)

Even if it gets into abusive drinking but not ass raping family it's still a win situation for him.
The reason why it's a bad thing, is because George Lucas will still be directing them.

(This is all going to sound like I am attacking, but I assure you, I am not)

Can The Avengers really be called a "Disney film"?
Because all they did was distribute it, not make it.

Which is great, but they continue their quest for other studios to put their names under to say "We helped!"

and 2006 is when Disney bought Pixar. Before then, they were on their own...
But I do understand where you are coming from.

Winnie the Pooh (2012) and John Carter were the latest movies they made on their own merit, the rest they slapped their name on.

I'm just surprised that they have become obsessed with making good films that aren't even theirs, instead of focusing on their own work.

I'm glad, though, that you can find a silver lining in all of it.
