![]() There goes me starting The Answer right after I finish The Journey... On P4, on the final boss but got some days left; going to wrap up Naoto-chan I did her final meet-up once but had to do it again. She's just so adorable! And Kanji/Risa, Kanji's part of my Fab Four and Risa, that level 77 skill is the mega tits. SP recovery with Cool Breeze and MC with Moon Charmagathing for 30% extra SP, I can waste all the shit I want. But gawd that final dungeon was piss easy. Except for the Jotuns, but they're always a bitch and a half. Those mid-bosses, cake.

MY DNA IS MADE UP OF ANIME

I hear all this talk. I'm starting to wonder lol.
you want me to fraps it for your enjoyment? it's the yukiko fight, right? * so fraps isn't cooperating. at first it was working fine, then my framerate tanked to about 20 for apparently no reason. gonna do some screenshots instead. Not shown: Me testing the waters, getting my butt kicked, and going back and leveling a Slime for a bit. Setup Start: Slime with Red Wall and Resist Physical End: Oberon with Red Wall and Resist Physical the other options would be: levelling to 15 to make Berith, or fusing Resist Fire onto something like an Eligor. HOWEVER you then still need to use the Slime to get Red Wall for covering Chie's weakness, and you have no good way to give him any offensive options. that means you'll basically be relegated to support for that battle and will also need to get some kind of healing skill on there. more hassle for not much benefit imo. if this were p3 with its easily obtainable monies I would have just fused Obariyon. but the p4mc is homeless and therefore poor and unloved, and this process would have broken my bank several times over. ** Result so fraps apparently really hates me for whatever reason. the first couple of screenshots from the fight came out fine. then it turns out that from the rest of the fight none of them made it through. really irritating. I'll just narrate what went down for now, maybe replay the fight later for caps when fraps stops being a little bitch. We go in with almost full health and 40-45 sp each. We open with one round of attacks, she summons her prince. I use Red Wall on Chie, then have her knock down the prince and Yosuke follows up with a free hit on the caged princess. We keep wailing on her with physicals for a while. She hasn't realized Red Wall's making her fire hits on Chie not so useful and so keeps that up while we whittle her down. Then the prince lands a Terror Voice on the MC and I realize neither of my allies have Patra. I should probably have picked up some items for that, but whatever. It's not a wash yet. I'm out of action for two rounds. Yosuke is in patch-up mode. The first feared follow-up attack misses, the second one takes me down to 40 hp or so (resist physical kicking in. That would have been a one-shot on me otherwise I'm pretty sure.) Luckily that knocks me out of the Feared state and so i can put Chie's Red Wall back up just in time for Yuki to try Burn to Ashes again. Yosuke's patching bitches up and me and Chie are putting on the damage. The prince apparently runs out of mana and only ever used one heal so we basically just leave his useless ass be. The two did manage to land another fear combo on Yosuke, but he's apparently surprisingly resilient and managed to not die. Chie lands the cinematic last hit and we walk away with a new party member. Verdict I have to think that the people who had trouble with this fight were probably new to the Persona series. It's not really any worse than some of the early Tartarus bosses (Rampage Drive, Change Relic, I'm looking at you!). The main new wrinkle is the increased emphasis on resource management since you can't just get infinimoney and power through everything that way anymore.

I don't really feel it's something you need to 'get' yourself to play if you're an RPG fan and have the equipment for it :P
if for whatever reason you're conceptually hesitant check out the animated adaptation first maybe, it's a pretty solid work in its own right :D |
