Nope, never really wanted to as it wasn't even made by the same developer.
Only reason I even own a copy of the regular game is because I got the Battlechest when it came out so I could get Diablo II and the expansion. Otherwise, I had played Diablo before at friends houses and didn't particularly care for it. I've tried it a handful of times over the years, but it's always the same feelings. I don't think it's a terrible game, just never hooks me and I always get bored after a while. |

![]() I wish, haven't seen it in the local game shop before and don't have a PS3 or PSP. And 4 is so good that I'm completely willing to try out P3 FES, even if the battle system isn't P4. 35 hours in and the game's still all "Shit's good, ain't it? You ain't taking me out of your PS2 anytime soon." Thinking of pre-ordering The Golden just because it's so good. And P4 on the go

I have around 120 hrs on my save file. Probably 80 or 90 on my first playthrough, and another 30 or 40 hrs on NG+ :)
You can find P3 FES online fairly easily, but it runs at around 20-30 bucks (ebay always has new copies). It's worth it though. |

I gave up on P4 after a while (40-50 hours of gameplay). I was stuck at a certain boss and I always had to go a few days back to overthink my strategy and how to use my Personas etc. After losing a few more times I lost interest in it and played other games instead.
It's a shame because I think the story in P4 is really interesting and it has an innovative battle system. Maybe I'll get back on it one day, starting from zero. Started Final Fantasy XIII yesterday. I'm 5 hours in and so far I have mixed feelings about it. The story seems interesting enough, but the battle system suffers from overload in the first few hours (seriously, half of the time I didn't know what I was doing... getting the hang of it now, though). It's way too linear and characters like Vanille and Hope already annoy me to no end. They changed a lot in this game to appeal to a wider audience, but it feels like FF is losing its identity because of it. It looks pretty good though and as I said before, the story isn't that bad. Lightning is pretty cool and while Snow reminds me of a muscular Tidus, he's not all that bad either. |

You usually have to backtrack to the previous area to level before you can take on a new boss or save someone. When a new one appears, the previous worlds get new mini-bosses that drop powerful weapons. If you run out of SP, you need to go back to the first world and fight until you pull the right cards that recharge all your sp. (Judgement I think).
You can stay in the TV world pretty much indefinitely once you figure out how to recharge and get the right cards. Also, it's imperative that you get all your allies' social links up to level 4 or 5 (whatever it takes) asap so that they can all do follow ups or take a hit for you. |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what I was missing. Staying in the TV world for long periods of time without the days going by. There's a lot of elements in this game I didn't really deal with properly and therefore only had a basic understanding of them.

I've been thinking about replaying with the undub version for a while now. I don't plan on getting a vita, so I don't think I'll be playing the "Persona 4: The Golden" version.
Maybe I'll get on that when I finish dark souls. Also, FFXIII is fun if you don't get so hung up over the fact it doesn't play like other FF's or rpgs. It'd likely have been more highly regarded if it weren't called Final Fantasy and had some other title. People just get irritated that it's not what they expect from the series. FFX was fairly linear too, but people tend to forget that. I enjoyed the game, I just thought the endgame/extra content stuff sucked. (sidequests, ultimate weapon hunting, etc). That's usually my favorite part of an rpg. |
