Got some PS tips?
 

I've finally got Photoshop CS5 now. :smile:
I want too try it out and want to be used with as quickly as possible.
I'm used to GIMP but I still need a lot of practice.
Also, I've something have a bit lack of inspiration... :baka:

Do you pros here got some tips for a Photoshop CS5 beginner?
And were can I find some brush/font packages which contain a bit of everything?
The size of the package doesn't matter.
I'm a bit to lazy to download them all apart. :sweat:

Congratulations with your CS5 :banana:

I've got all my brush packs from deviantart.. and I download fonts one by one @ dafont XD..
You can look at the "tutorials" I made..

But the tips I got are.. just experiment with Every tool you can find, every effect you can find.. etc etc ^^ and.. tutorials (although I never used tuts because I don't like them ironicly Im trying to make them right now)

The way i learnt to use photoshop is try every tool and see what it does, then think how you could use it
Start looking though the filter list, its where theirs many types of blur distort etc
also Filter - Render - Clouds is a good way of starting off a background

About the brushes - actually, If I need something, I just google "[whatever] brush" and download it. Downloading too many brushes 'just for start' would do a mess i thing :D

And one thing: get acquainted with pen tool. It's really useful. Either look for some tutorials, or (as I do) just try everything you can ;]

hehe after about 3 years of photoshop I still don't use the pen tool...I suppose I should learn to use it aswell :P

Same here.. Not using the pen tool in Photoshop. Have no need for it since Im not using it to make renders for example (al zweren sommige erbij XD) im using erase tool or magic wand tool
although I do use pen tool in Illustrator but for me it has a different function in that case..

I have never understood the pen tool. Perhaps I should look for a tutorial...
