Help me improve my sig! thread (read first post)

I was just thinking that this type of thread could be helpful. A "can you please tell me what you think of my sig and what you think I could do to make it cooler" type of thing. Anyone should feel free to respond or post their own sig to get help for.
I'll start with mine. I made it myself, to a custom size and just added the "mylifeonanime" thingy underneath. I think it is still missing something, however. Any suggestions?

This is a cool idea. Besides getting help with ideas for sigs, it's also a way for us less talented folk to pick the brain of those of you who really really know what you're doing.

Hmm, I think the text is too high, leaving quite a big area of non-space. I would consider dropping "Black Lagoon" down maybe a cm or so.

Perhaps a vector that looks similar to her tattoo overlay/softlight onto the moon? (that's if you use PS) That's the only thing I can think of without completely changing the style of the signature...

Anyway, Is everyone who posted looking for nitpicking too, or just Eapy and I?

Eaper: Really the only problem is the 'black lagoon' text: I'd Desaturate it to remove the blue, then burn it to match the bg, and place it behind the rain layer myself. Otherwise quite a nice sig as it stands.

@Eaper, it's a shame that image (revy) isn't pointing the gun because that would fit perfectly on that signature. Lacking that, it would be better to make the logo bigger and move it down a bit to remove all that blank space (maybe break it into two lines?), or put up your anime stats in that spot.

@Nihat, you're sig is hugemongous and the blue text is very hard to read. It might help to use some outer glow or a different color.

@Lemur, I don't think that signature needs improving, but if you must do something I'd suggest adding a light gradient with some form of orange to blue, or vice versa. Maybe sneak in a jealous/curious/surprised looking 3rd party on the right somewhere.

I'd ask for advice but I change my sigs to damn frequently. Oh well, take a stab at either these if you want. I'm sure I'll use one or the other eventually.

I kinda wanna add things to mine...it's just a cropped and rotated screenshot of Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge ED, and I upped the saturation just a bit...but it'd be nice if I added some cool effects. Any advice? The pic has the simple drawing look to it and I'm not sure what would be an appropriate effect.

try adding a bit more opacity to that rectangles with stats, they blend too much with background making text unreadable. or either do something with the text as CC said.

maybe a bit picky, but i think those lines you used(P&S sig) on top layer made characters look pixelous*. why don't you try putting characters on front, leaving only background lined

* i couldn't think od a proper adjective meaning 'have too much pixels standing out'
