Signature of the Week Contest?

I know Yoru had a baby shortly before Christmas, so I'm guessing real life took over. There has been a general slump in the sig area - even new sigs aren't being made as they used to be.

Be nice to see the contest back though, even if I am too busy to take part :p

I agree that this sounds like a problem, but as the twenty people voting you can really deal, can you? Though, I am interested in the advertising. Are you talking about advertising in the forum or literally advertising the site?

If it is the forum (which I think you are talking about) I don't think it'll be too hard to make a few badges...

I would say that planning badges and stuff to increase activity for a contest that hasn't had a chance to demonstrate an activity level (low or high) is kinda premature, Imo.

I’m talking about "advertising" on the site – is it the forum (badges seem to be a decent idea) or maybe a little spot somewhere on the main site – anything that would help getting attention, letting people know about the current contest.

I suppose, but I don't think we'll start advertising right away. Like you said, we have to show people the contest, first.

And on the advertising, badges/userbars would seem the best; I'm not sure where we would put the contest on the main site, but maybe a short little notice at the top of the forums could work if vBulletin has that sort of feature. Of course, this all has to be okay'd by sothis...

i cant give any time to thinking about this until the character database is totally launched, which will be a few weeks at minimum

but if you guys want to help out with images during that time, we'll have a great need for cropped character images for the new db :)
