Need help resizing background

I tried making my signiture with this, but when it was made It came out kind of blurry. So I was wondering of someone could help me out? I've never done this kind of thing before, so if someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

They're good, but they exceed the maximum allowance of 50k, and i was looking more for resizing than cropping. You still did a lot better then i've managed in hours though. Thanks anyway

You wanted that picture smaller, and not cropped? That would be so stretched, it would look terrible. It would have to be cropped to be used for this site's signature. I can't see the signature that thepgo made, because it looks like imgur is having problems. Still, you can try opening them in paint, and saving them. Because of compression is should makes the file size a little smaller without effecting that much quality.

Oh... ya I don't have any experiance with this kind of thing at all lol thanks for clearing that up. In that case thepgo's pics would be perfect if they were in the limit.

Both of them are smaller than 50k, no idea what are you talking about. Tried them both and they work with a-p signature creator.

also, as Garyuu said, there's no way to fit whole image into 500x130 without making it horribly deformed.

Thanks all 3 were great, but I don’t know what happened on the first 2. When I tried to set it, it said they exceeded the limit. (maybe it's my computer or something?) Anyway sorry for the trouble and thanks.
