Default To Aru Kagaku no Railgun

My halfassed summery: A spinoff series from the author of To Aru Majutsu no Index, which amusingly in japan proved far more popular then the original. This follows the adventures of Mikoto Misaka (Biri-biri) a rank 5 psychic in academy city.

-since she was one of the more interesting characters in Index.. and we don't have to put up with Touma's preaching.. this could be good.

-anyway im dling the speed subs that were put out... cause my gf is nagging me she wants to watch it. On one hand i am sorta looking forward to this, because i thought the fights in index.. and the general quality of the anime was excellent.. only it suffered from a lot of plot and script problems. So im hoping this is a better version. on the other hand this looks like it will be filled with yuri... and well, that's low on my list of things to see.

I just finished Index a few weeks ago. I was the most excited about this show for this fall season. I'm fine with Touma not being in it, but I just want Index in it.

I think I'll wait for a higher quality version though.

ep 1

meh... alright thus far... i guess... i don't know... nothing special. just an intro episode mostly.

I don't remember Kuroko being such an annoying genki girl though... maybe my memories of her in index were warped a little because she was in it so little, but i can already tell she'll be close to the top of my most hated anime characters if she keeps acting like she did in ep 1. God how much more annoying can one character be? It was like she just drank 10 red bulls and mainlined some speed. ugh...

She was the same in Majutsu. Except she acted a bit more protective over Misaka.

The first episode was alright, like Az said. It was not as strong as Majutsu's first episode though. And watching the ED.. Touma was in it, so we'll be seeing him at least a handful of times in the future I'll bet since that is Misaka's.. what would be a good phrase? Love interest?

Like other people have said. I thought the first episode was just alright, but I have a feeling that it will get really good. At least I'm hoping it will be. I liked the previous show a lot, and I'm hoping this show lives up to that.

Agreed, the first episode was just okay. It was a decent intro episode, and will make it easier for people who haven't seen Index to get into this.

Misaka was my least favorite character in Index (for some reason the entire show was devoted to her, and not Index), but I liked the pigtail girl, so I might watch this.
