MY DNA IS MADE UP OF ANIME

The OP is amazing, the ED is great and I'm actually getting very used to Kuroko now. She makes me laugh every episode now. Especially the opening bedroom scene. And about the joke in the pool, I knew it and got it immediately even if there wasn't a sub. I laughed the first time.

Well there is actually a decent plot to this and just as a fun fact, Railgun was more successful in Japan than Index was.
If you read the beginning of the thread, I mentioned that they are doing some of the chapters out of order to introduce the characters for newcomers (episode 2 is actually the final chapter and Saten-san wasn't supposed to come in until chapter 6 of 21). I can pretty much guarantee that they will follow the manga because of a few scenes from the intro that give it away. Railgun is a bit more interesting too because there's less emo drama (see Touma) and more action. Compared to most Manga to Anime shows, they've done a very good job to make their own storyline adjustments seamless. Anyway Addendum~ Nuke released episode 1 as well. I'm feeling lazy now so here's the run down: -Typesetting was good, one of the better one's released so far but no Kanji/sync on karaoke. -Editor must've been asleep, weird grammar in many places. -Inconsistent translations. Literal in some places, heavily transliterated in others. Overall: Not worth following. |

Disappointing so far.
Kuroko is ****ing annoying. She's heading for the list of characters I want to strangle. Although Misaka as a Pikachu at the end was great. She's gone form the ability to fire a railgun to the ability to manipulate electricity. Nice.

As for Misaka... her ability always was electricity... she can control it so well she can create a magnetic field and use that to turn any metal object into a projectile... just like a railgun... hence her nickname. |

ep 3
plenty of silly... nothing amazing, some yuri undertones... pretty much just like the first 2 (though less yuri)... though they finally had something happen other then scene setting... it was pretty much non-consequential. |

azanimefan, I'll give you a hint: Episode three was NOT inconsequential.
I'll leave why until later. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised, so this episode passes for the above reason. For those of you thinking about dropping this, the beginning of the plot has started to develop, though for someone not familiar with the manga, it's not all that obvious. I enjoyed ep3 anyway. This part of the story isn't in the manga unlike the two previous episodes, despite that they managed to tie it in rather nicely. It had a good balance of drama, humor and for those who know the manga, seriousness. I'll admit it could go a bit faster and have less of this day to day stuff, but all in all, even if it was just to turn into a slice of life, the characters are interesting enough in and of themselves to keep me watching. |
