I don't remember Kuroko being such an annoying genki girl though... maybe my memories of her in index were warped a little because she was in it so little, but i can already tell she'll be close to the top of my most hated anime characters if she keeps acting like she did in ep 1. God how much more annoying can one character be? It was like she just drank 10 red bulls and mainlined some speed. ugh...
Kuroko annoyed the shit out of me in the first series. I just never needed to mention her as she barely had any role.

Misaka was my favorite character from the first one, so I'll definitely be watching this. It's got a weaker opening than Index, but as long as they don't set up the series with a bunch of mini arcs like Index I think it'll do well.

Wow, okay, I guess for someone who hasnt seen Index before (Didnt think it'd interest me) this was a surprising episode. Definitely piqued my interest. should I make sure to go back and watch the other two series before continuing with this one or can I just watch them all in parallel?

I found Kuroko to be amusing but then again I haven't sat through 2 other seasons of her yet so we'll see how well I like her at the end of this one.

You can probably watch them parallel. :p

Just be forewarned. Index begins amazing and makes you think the series will be hot shit, then drops down below mediocrity incredibly fast and stays there for the rest of the series.

Duly noted :) Thanks for the warning.

Wait two other seasons? There is another show besides To Aru Majutsu no Index?

Sorry, mis spoke, just one season. And after watching the first 2 episodes of Index, I don't know how you consider that a strong beginning... I don't even think I'll be able to finish the first series. Horrible setup, horrible execution from the getgo and virtually no introduction. It assumed you already knew everything from the start. Atleast Railgun did a good job introducing the characters.

Plus helpless male leads piss me off.

So enough of being off topic. How 'bout them railguns?

Pretty good first episode. Misaka was a good character in Index, so I'm looking forward to this.

Also, I'm glad Touma was in the ED, I want to see him and Misaka fight at least once.

Finish the first arc. That's what I meant. The first arc is actually pretty damn good.

First ep was actually pretty good. I only hope this series doesn't fall down the same pit that Index did, and tries to stuff as many manga arcs as possible into it, throwing it all over the place.
