ep 30

good ep, one of a select handful in the new version that captured the mood of the original series and manga properly.


OVA

excellent. better then 99% of the eps of the new show.

The OVA was originally in manga form, as a bonus, as well and they are just now getting around to animating it.

Episode 27 confused me at first >.< But the ending was nice.
Episode 28 was great! I loved the funny parts.

Aaaah! Gluttony... Me liked him. And Ling's body is taken over by Greed? Guess we'll see how that works out.

Episode 29... Hmm... Not really much to say about this one. I really like the chemistry between Roy and Riza. They're so cute together ^^

Ooh, new baby Gluttony coming out of Father O.o

I enjoy the new OP/END. Okay, they're not as good as the previous ones, but still quite enjoyable.

Haa, I was looking in my Latin grammar book today (Was translating a text) and found out that "homunculus" is a diminutive for "homo"(= man), meaning "little man". Never knew that, quite fun to find out and I immediately had to think of FMA xD

The new episodes formula (additional scene after the credits) is a bit annoying, since at ep 30 the ending happened at absurd moment (though the footage after credits was awesome)
That said - ep 30 was great

I think they managed to pull more emotional trauma in characters from the Ishbalan War, than the first season did.
Rize Hawkeye past came as a suprise though, I always thought she'd be just an awesome support character, without much to say in the mysteries of alchemy.

I've seen some of these streamed episodes on Funimation. Not bad. It is much more fast pace that the previous series.

Yeah, I agree that

Riza was not too well developed, and it's an excelent character. I must admit that it surpriesed me very much the fact that Riza's father was Roy's instructor, adn the circle in Riza's back it's pretty awesome too.

Also,

the enphasis given to de Ishbalian conflict was an improvement over the orginial, in my opinion. Plus, seeing Armstrong without his moustaches... it's worthy

Now i'm about to watch the OVA you guys talk so much about
