After reading foureyedalice:

Ahhh. So they're trying to make this into a Bleach-Naruto-Kekkaishi cash cow. Wow. As if the massive profits they are still making from FMA wouldn't be enough. Lol.

Well, I'm going to check out the first episode just to satisfy my curiosity as to what they've done with the characters and animation. But I'm not interested in following a long-running series, especially if it's highly likely not to be as good as the original anime. Fare thee well, suckers! I pray you don't get 100 eps of filler! Hahahahaha!

The first ep seemed interessting enough... though I also get the feeling somethings missing... but hey, who knows, maybe they get that thing back in later episodes... I hope.

Untill I really get the feeling that this is going nowhere I will watch the show, just because FMA was awesome

Not liking it so far...

As Termia said, it just feels like somethings missing.

no , the problem is the previous story and characters, since with the beginning of the new story, you should forget about the previous one and that is hard , at least for me. seeing Hughes again was kind of refreshing :D well, i can say this, it would have been better at least not use the same characters.
but at least , good for kat XD

People may disagree, but the first episode wasn't all that great :/

I loved the 1st episode of the old Full Metal, really nicely done.

But Brotherhood felt rushed and just not right, as other have said, it feels as if somethings missing.

I hope this gets better, but i won't hold my hopes up. I was hoping for nostalgia at first but i got nothing from it :/

It also felt as if they rammed in every character they could, really am not a fan, just soooo hasty and rushed :/

I don't really think that was the case.

It feels crazy rushed, it's as if the entire episode was played on fast forward. It just didn't flow right, everything happened way too fast. I came into it knowing full well that there would be changes, but I didn't see that from a negative light nor was I trying to compare it.

Thinking back on the episode it's just like a blur, whoosh it was there, now it's gone. I didn't like this first episode at all.

The op and ed rock though.

Yeah it's not entirely bad, but doesn't anyone agree that edward isn't edward now? He acts totally different. He is always a bit of a hothead yes, but not as much as he was in this episode.

oh yeah, judging by the preview of the next episode: is telling their origins really all that damn necessary? especially when this was already covered in the first installment and the manga.
