Bounen no Xamdou) Synopsis, screenshots, recommendations ~ Add Recommendations Discuss individual episodes and first impressions of this anime here; reviews and final impressions should be posted in the Anime Reviews Forum. Post format and full rules can be found here. __________________________________________ (I dident see a thread for this anime in the B' section or it's english name "Xam'd: Lost Memories" anywhere, So.... )I personally have been liking this anime alot, Just because of how the episode's play out, How the show looks (Im watching all of it full screened on my 32' LCD xD. It works perfectly), And the characters. :3 Especially the opening song, which is addictive, Anyone else though get a sorta... Air gear/Cowboy Bebop feel though? Or is it just me??? Best show this season. Though I seriously have no idea how you got an Air Gear/Bebop vibe to it. The obvious vibe would be Eureka 7/Ghibli.
The anime is just getting better and better, and I think it's one of the greats in the making. |

It's great. It feels a lot like those old western comics and certain up-to-date anime series.
Each episode has gotten me more and more interested of the series and I would say as of now it is among the best things airing. As for best of year, I won't go there yet. There's few interesting series starting soon that I'm looking forward to. I'll post more hype later. |

Absolutely love this series. Definitely, APPARENT similarities with Eureka Seven. I find this series to be a more refined version of that amazing series. I really applaud the art and animation of the anime. I wish we could see more of the kick-but action of Xam'd. I think it's a bit slow-paced. But if this goes like Eureka Seven, the ending is going to be one hell of an episode. High expectations for this one but I'm optimistic.

Hmm... Maybe it's cause I never fully watched the Eureka series...
But im not sure... True, they arent hunting criminals like cowboy bebop, but living on a ship, doing postal work just to make ends meat, And the way that redhaired girl (I cant remember her name at the moment) pilotes that ship...? And Air gear... just... cause... everything reminds me of air gear. xP I loved that anime. ____________ But someone on another place said it reminded of them of being a "Eureka Seven/Rahxephon"...? that more accurate? Either way... I want to see akushiba run faster. xD |

As you said with Cowboy Bebop, they do the same thing as well in Eureka Seven (which you CAN say Eureka Seven has that in common with Cowboy bebop). But if you did see Eureka Seven. Xam'd has sooooo many similarities: There is an almost whiny main character with a "special" father, An emotionless "sidekick" with an interesting past that can talk to humanoids, A ship, children on the ship, an unlikely captain, a futuristic setting with mecha's, a war. There ARE some interesting differences. Xam'd for one thing. Its not really a criticism. I loved these aspects of Eureka Seven. and I would like to see more of Xam'd opening a can of whoop ass. |

I've watched the beginning of episode one so far. It's presented well is all I have to say. Edit: Episode one was decent. Makes me want to watch more, and I'm guessing this hasn't been added to the site because of Alpha? Last edited by Adam; 08-31-2008 at 11:22 PM. |

Gonna check this series out, looks...unique. And someone said the magic word, bebop, so I gotta check it out definitely. Also, I looked at the op, yeah it does look like Eureka 7 somewhat. It reminds me of another show, I just can't remember.
