Sony's Playstation 3 has internet connectibility and Sony is trying to sell it as a home entertainment multimedia machine, not solely a game machine. Xam'd, I think, is one of the first animes it's offering as a PS3 exclusive watch, to get people into using the PS3 for videos.

That's why not many are watching it (despite it being excellent). I think it's going to air on TV in Japan later this year or next.

Btw VivisQueen, I've been doing entries for a while, as time restraints allow. Get in touch about shows, I may be able to do some occasionally. Check my profile for a list of the ones already up on the site.

Lol. I started watching episode 1 and after five minutes had to close my player again. The whole 'introduce character and his world in everyday life' formula is so annoyingly cliche and boooooring to watch.

At some point I'm going to have to revisit, just to give Xam'd a fair chance, but right now Monster has made me feel I need a break from anime for a while. Recouperate for the coming season. *sigh*

Ah I wondered why Sony had started licensing anime (a BONES series, no less). I think I'll probably wait for it to air on Japanese television or for it to become more widely available (who has a ps3 anyway? >.>). Don't particularly like watching series on stream sites.

It's not going to be on Japanese TV. It's just going to be on PS3 only. For now it's only in America, but will be available in Japan when any PS3 downloads become available. They don't have that part of the program yet.

And yes, it is very similar to Eureka seveN because they are both created by BONES.

I can so see the Bebop similarity. Futuristic scifi that looks like it's old and broken.
