ep 8:

Quite a letdown from ep7, with embarrassing scuffles instead of bomb-to-bomb combat, and only setbacks in the relationship between the leads ...
Maybe it's realistic that mistrust would prevail, but what more can Sakamoto do to convince Himiko? Seems over-written.
The gal who shoves her "protector" over a cliff was impressive, though. If we're not getting romance, at least show us more Machiavellis.

The guys from that band brutalized and raped all her friends. They almost got her as well. And due to that incident, her friends saw her abandonment as betrayal and sent her to the island.

And if that wasn't what you forget, then it was that fat guy. She had no problems with men until he tried something.

Yeah. So the WHOLE GENDER must be evil and out to get her. I'm not buying that crock, or her 180 every 5 seconds personality. Amazing how

she's not mad at the people who got her sent there. No, the evil men are all responsible.

Are you claiming to understand the thinking of a person with a psychological disorder? She's probably has survivor's guilt ever since he friends abandoned her. Regardless of how she acted for her own well-being, she was chastised and cast aside by her friends. Coupled with the trauma of almost getting raped and potentially almost killed, I can understand how she could be going through a slight mental breakdown.

And then soon after, she witnessed McRambo brutally kill one of her allies and then the fat guy tried to rape her, forcing her to murder someone in defense. More trauma. Taking a life isn't easy, you know.

I think her problems with men are well justified considering her exposure to males within the last few weeks.

Also consider she's probably killed several men along the way who tried to kill her as well. Remember all her BIM cases?

Now consider Sakamoto. She already has her problems with men to begin with. She's psychologically scarred, which makes getting through to her pretty hard. However, the only reason right now that she's ok with Sakamoto is because he hasn't tried to rape or kill her while she's been vulnerable. Coupled with the fact that he tried to save her and that she knows he's her Btooom! hubby, he's probably the only one who can truly get close to her now. But she's still untrusting because of all the psychological damage within the last few weeks.

Consider someone deathly afraid of snakes. They can know a garden snake is harmless well enough. But they'll still run for two miles after seeing one.
