Episode 2.

I highlighted last time that I did like the setting and the conspiracy and that still stands.

But like Damias said, magic this and magic that which I also found irritating. I also found the magical power up, 'whoa, now I can fight people' schtick somewhat dull and unbelievable. Perhaps a little more context is needed for me so I can buy it. Or maybe its just because he was easily able to take out that badass chick who I so rated highly....

The characters spouting Shakespeare dialogue came off as 'lets try make shit sound meaningful because it totally is'.

I'll stick around til next week though to see how things pan out.

Well i like it - not the shakespear bits particularly but the story and characters are good.

The metal ball monster made me think of persona 4 as character design though.

What??? This was not a teaser but the pilot episode??? Jesus, why is the plot all over the place? They barely show something before they switch to something else. And don’t give me this whole “it is not wasting time in needless events” excuse. If you don’t invest time to the setting and the characters, then how do you expect the viewers to care?

A total fail of a start for a story that may have some interest. The production values are ok but who cares if nothing is important? Only Bones knows.
1.5/5 as a starting score.

Eh, the episode did jump around, but each part explained itself rather well since by the end you get a clear overview of what each thing was about and what general direction you can expect the plot to take. It's not like the thing was all over the place making no sense as you're implying it did. Not at all.

I found that was a good first episode and I'm intrigued to see more. Yoshino seems to be the most interesting guy so far if my impression of the last few seconds isn't wrong.

Just watched the first episode. I'm very much intrigued so far. Everyone's favorite... what's a good word... Kibitzer, seems to dislike it, as usual, but I find things to be pretty "epic" so far. Oh, and uh, I liked Kyuubei's *cough* Kusaribe's ultimatum offering power in exchange for their soul oh boy am I gonna enjoy this! Btw, whoever said Inception is hard to follow never watched anime XD

Episode 3.

A largely action centred episode, interspersed with dialogue regarding the system of magic. I thought it was useful to an extent – an equivalent exchange type thing, magic for ‘products’ of civilisation.

Yoshino wondering how this is all related to current events at the of the episode (people turning into metal ) basically sums up what’s keeping me interested, the mystery behind everything. Still digging the island chick as well.

Man, the fights in this show are boss. Who knew fighting with a lead pipe could be so awesome. Real slick thinking to use the helicopter missiles against Spear Boy there. And...there's a hole in that mountain...damn.
