I liked seeing more of the Red clan's backstory in this. Still waiting to see how they explain Isana's identity crisis, but at least we'll get some more action next episode.

Well for starters I really liked the episode
The identity crisis is interesting.
What I also found interesting is that his friends forgot about him could it be related to being the colorless king (assuming yashiro is the colorless king or at least somewhat related to him)
Another possibility is that it has something to do with Neko because she seems to know what's going on.

Also assuming that one of the above theories are correct could it be that people forget about him once they are not in contact within i.e. some sort of a seal which locks away memories about yashiro once his away and the seal is released upon him being in contact with you. Though this wouldn't explain about his house and family

Episode 6:

Of course, no action to highlight the epic animation! I'm annoyed by the slice-of-life aspect, but the backstory was touching. However, having Yata and crew know the victim for only 20 minutes worth of screen time makes it less sad than it should be. On the other hand, at least Kuro said the words in that voice recorder-thing are "wonderful," versus every other time, where he just had an orgasm or something.

Finally some answers!

What I wanna know is, what was the deal with Shiro coming back to the arena and suddenly manifesting his power. Did he seriously know about it this whole time, or was it something that just awakened within him then? I mean, if he had no real memories of himself before Neko showed him his true past, how would he have known?

Anyway, it was cool to see him actually do something. Also interesting to note that the Blue King said he would be the weakest, though I'm suspecting that won't necessarily be the case. I actually do hope he really does end up being weaker than the other Kings. It's no fun when the MC is OP all the time.

Also, what's up with blimp guy? Have we seen him before? I forget. Even though we didn't see back far enough to find out is Shiro really did shoot that Red guy (though I doubt it), this is an interesting development. Hopefully.

The thing about that is

Neko's illusions are just that - illusions. As we saw with the crowded downtown scene, you can just pass through them. But the psychic blast Shiro fired at the Blue King was real - you could see the two meet and push against each other. Otherwise, it would have just dissipated when it touched his psychic energy. So how's that work?
