Yes. Yes, he might indeed be. It would be kind of disappointing if this were all that there was to his and the tree joi warriors' backstory, which I certainly don't think it'll be the case. That would be rather anticlimactic considering Katsura wasn't even involved this time, and

Come to think of it, Nobume kinda looks like that chick in your sig and avvy, Link. Who the hell is that girl anyways?
Oh, she's Fumi Kanno, the best character in Devil Survivor 2 and one of the characters I'm most looking forward to seeing animated.

She doesn't really look much at all like Nobume, though:

Although she does share some traits like a somewhat playful nature together with intelligence and a certain disregard for others' lives. Fumi is generally more mature, though. Also a genius and achiever.

Long story short, she's awesome.

Am I the only one listening to the OP over and over?
This franchise need more Spy Air songs. It fits perfectly to the serious arcs.
Yep, I've also listened to it plenty of times, it's great. I love this group's songs.

One of my favorite moments of the arc.

That, and Nobume snapping were some of the funniest moments in the arc.
Personally I was kind of "eh" about the whole Suzuran deal. Kinda sweet and a bit touching, but it didn't really get to me.
Not as sad as the dog.

This week they re-aired episode 110, where Katsura went to revolutionize prison.

It was fun as hell the first time and it was even funnier now after years. Oh Katsura, you're just unique.

I've had the newest ED ( エクスペクト PAGE) stuck in my head (It's an awesome song) and holy fuck of all fucks is it impossible to find. I can't even listen to the TV size on youtube because it isn't available in my region.

Anyway, loved the re-run. Shachi isn't a character we get to see too much, but when he's there it's because comedy is sure to ensue.

Oh god, is this gonna be one of those emotional rollercoaster episodes...you know, like the other sleepless episode, I WAITED FOR YOU FRY

Huh...it's exactly the same episode?

OK, so re-airing stuff is appearantly a thing now. Oh well.

^ They've been re-running stuff between the long, new arcs since the third season started.

Anyway, that was one of my very, very, veeery favorite episodes, so I'm glad they showed it again.

Also, seems like the Gorilla author has finished the movie script, and the third season is confirmed to end in March by the characters themselves.

Most importantly... new arc is indeed starting next week! The preview looked pretty hilarious. Looks like it'll be about an old acquaintance of Shinpachi and Otae who taught them at the dojo when they were kids.

The catch... HE'S A FUCKING JEDI.

Do these re-runs show some new material too....?

I've marathoned the whole Gintama not too long ago, so watching old episodes doesn't appeal to me much. I skip them, but I'd feel bad if I miss on something..

^ The only differences compared with the original airings are:

-OP and ED are different (they use the ones for the newest eps).
-There are new voice sequences at the end (the classical Yorozuya House background with the three of them talking), where they joke about the upcoming movie, the future of the anime, etcetera. In the first reruns there were also some mini-live-action scenes with someone in a Sorachi/Gorilla Author costume, or a Sorachi+Takasugi costume, and so on so forth.
-When the next ep is new material, there's of course a preview (like this week).
