Can't wait for the next arc. Luffy standing up to her was expected, but still badass.

What was the point of the mud pirate??? All this build up for nothing! Where are the mermaids he captured?
He'll be back. And they were freed.

And Hoddy all of a sudden would still be beaten even if Luffy wasn't around because the island was bullied by a freaking Sea Emperor!
Fishman island would meet its doom. In case you didn't notice, the new fishman pirates were never presented as very rational individuals.

And the fishmen are very good at making candies all of a sudden???

How nice of you Oda not to mention it all this time and then expect us to believe Hoddy and the rest new about it all along.
Fishman island has famous brand clothing. Why is this so hard to accept then?

the whole battle with the fishman pirates was completely pointless.

I mean, We Go is nice. It sounds cool, upbeat, and I love the Roger/Shanks/Luffy bit of both the song and videoclip. But We Are all in all has this little something (which We Go kinda lacks) that totally makes me feel like packing up all my things and going on an adventure myself.

Just personal inner thingies. Even among opinions I'll admit this is most subjective.
On reflecting, I think what bothers me about We Go is that it comes off very Karaoke with a soundtrack imported from the 80's.

I guess it soon is time for me to pick up One Piece again, as the arc is finally ending.
But looking at the episode guide was interesting. 25th of November, the first episode of Punk Hazard will start, but then for the next two weeks after that there will be introduction episodes to Film Z (like they had for Strong world ).
Then there'll be a TV special, "island adventure", and then the movie airs, so apparently no new episode that week.
I wonder if they'll be comfortable with, say, some filler after that. It would be nice to not have the pacing for Punk Hazard be completely fucked up.
Also, Coby is now a marine Captain. That's awesome, even though the movie is apparently not going to be canon.

Do you know what heros are?!

So after two or so years, I finally decided that waiting for episodes to air in English wasn't good enough (I enjoy the One Piece dub, the voices don't grind on me like many other anime). So I jumped straight into the Japanese. Watching from 206 up to date in about two months. And my god was it worth it. Water 7 & CP9 arcs were just fantastic, so it sucked me right in. And it was consistently good, or just kept getting better. But now that I'm up to date, I'm a little down that I have to wait week to week for episodes.

I think the current filler is only going to last two episodes. I kinda wish it were more, then Punk Hazard wouldn't be as snail-paced as it is.

Actually, isn't this the first filler arc that didn't fit within existing manga arcs since before the Baroque Works saga?

Is this also tying in with the Hand Island special that's coming up soon, or nah?
