I was saying shaobody was amazing, not below average. It's the rest of one piece that dragged on. It's been very good ever since the whole auction thing.

that is exactly why i tend to avoid the manga. always much more fun to watch and it you like the anime read what they left out afterwards and use your imagination for what they could have done in the anime... i hope that makes sense... lol

Thats the thing. The manga is fine for some stuff. It gives you a look ahead. But you'l always regret it. The anime adaptation of one piece is a lot better than the manga itself. There are so many things that you could have never possibly guessed would happen, like Sogeking. The manga provides the groundwork, but Toei is brilliant in turning it into something great. I would never ruin my enjoyment every week for a peek at whats next.

Naruto manga's amazing and I honestly couldn't possibly regret reading it. One Piece onthe other hand... he makes panels too small with too much detail amongst many other things. The OP manga isn't as good as the OP anime. I'm only saying this as I feel it's not all manga that shouldn't be read ahead of time, just some.

Well, it's not forgotten, thats a strong part of why it's great. From the musical score and SFX to the voice actors. The combination of the voice actors merged to give something special while still feeling all natural to it. If somebody else had done the voices for characters like Sanji, Zoro and Luffy, I don't know if it'd had gotten as far as it has. Personally, I don't think there is any other VA that could have so completely captured Luffy. It's so often that anime just get a character's voice very wrong for what it should be. There really are so few anime that are around where the entire core cast is just amazing. The transition of sound though in one piece is so seamless your hardly even notice it.
