Yes. I always hold out hope that the lead will pick the more deserving nice girl. I realize it won't happen a large majority of the time, but it doesn't stop me from hoping. Also, "Shana Clone" is a character specific trope, not a whole show trope. Moron.

^This. Red-headed tsundere isn't really even. "Shana-clone". There ones before shana and there will be many after. Shana just made it popular and over the top obnoxious, and when Dragon Crisis opened up so many painful scars "shana-clone" was born.

If you want to see a "shana clone" go watch a series that employs Rie Kugimiya. If you are too lazy to do that, just watch dragon crisis.

Who cares if the childhood friend was nice. I still didn't want him to get with her. I think childhood friend romances are boring, and the whole childhood romance cliche is used far to much anyways.

The excuse was lame, but that doesn't make me mad at whatever the MC's name is because he didn't choose her. I thought she was a boring character anyways.
