I'm content with this ending as well. As much as I would like to see the next MMO from the novels, I'm happy with just this. The previous posts sum up my thoughts on it. I'm happy its over, but not at the same time.

... and just when I'd given up on the show they put in some real contemplative sci-fi themes and make the series fit in context.
the first half of the ending was like the second half of the show. the second half of the ending was like the first half of the show. good bookend for sure. in the end I'll probably have it at 3/5, or just above average. |

Nice wrap-up, Sugou caught me off-guard too there, but glad things didn't go south.
Who was the guy that married someone in the pub? Forgot who he is... Kinda weird that Asuna wasn't there with them all to go play SAO, but otherwise nice finale. I'll give the series 4/5, hoping to see a 2nd season sometime down the line.

Well, overall it was quite good. But it had some flaws though...
The ending was luckely ok. I didn't really like the second arc that much though. And yes, I also agree that it's a little bit overrated. 4.0/5

Anime was awesome :D Then again, I think any anime is awesome so long as if its good..... which a lot are.... haha. That's me :D Hoping to see the second season and also hoping before I move out of my teen years that a console thats like the Nervegear really does come out, where we are in a virtual world :D

I don't have too much to add, everyone's pretty much covered my thoughts. Overall, I found it to be a reasonably entertaining show at times. But for me there was a steady decline especially during the Alf Arc. Just didn't buy into as with the first half of the show. As for this episode Quote:
