I don't know, it does felt rushed but when we think about it, it was 2 years and the reason some of us felt it was rushed was because its been 10 episodes. What I really want to know was why he made that decision. Did they really give off a reason or are they gonna tell us next episode. I may have missed it because of I was mind boggled during that closing act.

You also have to remember these aren't normal circumstances they're under. Every day, there's a significant probability that they'll die. They might not feel like they have the option to take things as slowly as normal.

The duel was over quickly, I was actually expecting Kirito to lose. I thought that even if he had to join the Guild he'd at least be with Asuna so it wasn't really all that bad for him anyway.

Glad that dude was killed, any less would not have been just.

And yes Asuna strips and now they're getting married.

Its no surprise they'd get together but I wasn't expecting marriage. Anyway, I generally thought this episode was decent.

Episode 10.

Much awesomeness, much sweetness. Kirito's fight with Guild Leader Dude was pretty boss...even if Kirito did lose. Honestly didn't expect him to lose. And, big shocker, Bodyguard Boy was still pissed. Asuna sweeping in and slicing him up was awesome...even if she did wimp out on killing him, and Kirito had to finish the job. On the sweetness note, those two are good together. Not surprised he finally decided to do the marriage thing with her.

Good episode. And on a secondary note

Underwear Asuna...yummy.

As for him being able to solo bosses but not the commander:
1)PvE and PvP are generally two different animals in games. You can be great at one and suck (or just not be as great) at the other, and
2)I took that part in the red when he was going in for the strike to signify that something out of the ordinary was happening, something Kirito hadn't encountered before, something that wasn't in the realm of actual possible gameplay.

We'll see if that goes somewhere.

Most games have different sets of gear for PvP (Player vs. Player) and PvE (Player vs. Environment ). Solo players are almost always exclusively PvE players and don't really take the time to farm a PvP gear set. On top of this PvP and PvE generally have different skill sets, something really good like a flurry of assaults is great against monsters, but with PvP reduction gear it's nothing more than wind.

A timeline for those who think the relationship was rushed.

I wouldn't call 7 months rushed imo, especially considering the circumstances. They don't exactly have jobs and are spending a lot more time together than a normal couple when you think about it.

2-12-2022 Asuna meets him.

3-6-2024 Asuna meets up with him again and begins spending time with him frequently.

6-24-2024 Asuna's feelings for him are hinted at heavily, they've been spending time together for 3 months now. She demands he friends list her to make it easier on her.

9-16-2024 Lots of heavy hints she's completely fallen for him. She went out to search for him she invites him over, she cooks for him, Marriage joke, forces him to keep a permanent party with her (When she isn't on guild business)

10-17-2024 Duel with Kuradeel + Boss solo. More hints at her feelings when he almost dies. Very obvious she's completely enamored.

10-24-2024 He proposes 7 months 18 days in.

The hookup with Asuna was pretty fucking rushed. I guess we could all tell it was going to happen, but they moved pretty damn quick if you ask me.

Actually, it felt pretty fucking stupid as well. *Asuna strips naked randomly* "Don't look at me!" (I'm thinking, then why did you strip right in front of him?). Apparently he just wanted to spend the night together with her as in actually sleeping, and he was a typical retarded shonen protagonist for not jumping on her naked offer.

[unless online girls get completely naked (this IS Asuna, who didn't want him to look too closely at her in her underware, which, while worded in a stupid way in this anime is actually rather common with a good number of women IRL... they're cool with sex under the covers, but not standing naked in front of you early in the relationship) while a guy sleeps fully clothed next to them they clearly did more then rest next to eachother... I suspect A-1 was making it vague on purpose to avoid censor issues, they are both underaged and this isn't a hentai]

And then they're getting married? After dating each other for one day? Damn son, I wish life was that simple.

[pretty standard fair for MMORPGs actually. I laughed because I've had male toons propose to my female toon in an MMORPG with absolutely NO relationship, or even flirting (i don't play MMOs for virtual romances, and generally don't play female toons because that stuff happens too much when you're RPing]

[according to his HUD he has an insane number of hitpoints i mean that group attacking him in that one ep were doing a few hundred hps of damage and it wasn't even moving his hp bar much so you figure his hps have to be something like over 10,000 or so, so his combat healing isn't some sort of useful defensive power against people who do thousands of damage per hit]

15th minute: Asuna just runs all the way there in, what, 30 seconds? And all alone? Nobody else in the whole guild noticed it? Bullshit!
17th minute: He... punched him to the point of impaling him? Is this in the rules?

[bad LN translation by A-1. small LN spoiler, since they clearly won't animate it, they did show it in his HUD so i don't think it counts though you have to be able to read Japanese and pause it... but Kirito does have the Unarmed Combat Skill, almost maxed too]

19th minute: Kirito you are a disgrace to mankind! Is this where the notorious sex scene was supposed to happen?

Besides all that, it was overall the best episode so far. Meaning above average.
