They time skipped again? Well, at least it's only 2 years this time. I already hate this chick with the braces. I hated her the second Jin found her in the apartment. Annoying is too nice a term. And lastly, Jin VS Bubble Crab monster thing. Jin wins. Awesomely. Just rips that thing in two like that. That was awesome...and then he gets shanked...dang.

Up till now all the fights have had pretty darn good animation and artistic choices, I guess.

Episode 5. The plot thickens.

A new faction in play with this 'Evol' group, action's to be had next episode I'd say. The show's moving fairly steadily and is pretty reasonable so far.

A few directing choices were are a bit silly though this episode. I don't think we needed a slow camera pan highlighting that Jin left his magic gum behind, they probably could've surprised us a little there instead, during the fight I reckon.

Awkward moment between Jin's two potential lovers was also telegraphed from a mile a away. A bit more subtlety perhaps? Also, I don't think that Alphas being slingshot out in a plane to be hero of the day was supposed to be funny, but to me it came off as unintentionally hilarious. Minor gripes, but they stand out because the show itself seems to be showcasing serious business regarding Zet, the players and the conspiracy which lies beneath. The action is definitely the strongest aspect to this show so far I think.

Great...they really had to go there, didn't they?

The "Oh, he must be into that other girl" thing. Just increasing my hatred of Braces Bitch(I know her name, but I prefer Braces Bitch). Seriously, was she really needed? A useless, tagalong freeloader? Way to stick an utterly annoying and useless element to this show. And Kouga's useless sister get's kidnapped. Are there any useful women on this show?

Some positives though. Like

Kouga going totally Otaku on that powered armor. That was classic.

Uff. Poor Kouga. I wouldn't have known what to do in that hostage situation either.
Hoping for mostly action next episode.

I slowed down my watching of this because of the time skips, but I am still amazed how good this story is.

Do the right thing for once by saving his sister and her friend after some very bad advice? Seems he learned a lesson from last week

I still don't like this character though, his sense of Justice is very skewed, and I don't see him and Jin working well together as a team of super buddies.

Haven't watched the 6th but imma agree with you buddy, his sense of justice is very white-black, he's still quite naive and immature for the matter, which Kohona could bring up right on the spot.

Well, there was action, but it was mostly Jin getting his ass kicked...
At least he's got this new Super Zet form going that looks pretty badass.
