It hasn't been long since I watched this arc in the OVAs (I'd say less than 9 months), but it was my favorite all in all and I bet it'll look amazing with updated animation.

I swear the production quality for this episode seemed really high. Looked amazing, especially the animations.

Gon and Killua seem awfully gay together lately, it's like OTT shounen love.

Gotta love Biscuit. I was eager for her to butt in, she was great fun in the OVAs.

Also, I wish this arc could go on forever. The RPG vibes it gives off, together with the author knowing how to integrate this fantasy-like ''world'' within the ''actual'' Hunter x Hunter universe... it's all amazing and cool as hell. SAO... pffft.

P.S. The new ending is really growing on me.

^ I think most (if not all) of the things you're mentioning were included in the first series, so this is probably more like ''we're going fast because we want to get soon to the material that has never been adapted''. Even if they weren't in the first series, the idea behind is the same. If they do that ''Chimera Ants'' arc I've heard about next they probably won't be skipping any worthwhile pieces of content.
