^ 4th and 5th years of secondary school.
UK school system consists of 7 years in "primary" school, and then another 7 years in "secondary" school. First three years cover all of the basic subjects like basic maths, english, history etc., you start specialising in GCSE when you're limited down to, at most, 11 subjects (if you're not doing anything crazy) with official exams for each one. Then you move on to the optional A-levels for the next 2 years (Though they're practically required for entrance to uni) where you're limited down to a max of 4 subjects (In my case Phys, Chem, Bio, and History). GCSE's are basically your first actual qualifications for work; whilst A-levels are what get you into further education. In short, I was ~15 when I did those. |

Been about 2 months since I last posted anything...work is kickin my butt. Bought a new toy...and this is the result:
New Char - basically a friend at work asked me to draw her as an Anime character. LMAO. I was trying to avoid being pervy with it, even tho she saw some of my more risque works...I didn't want to be a creep...haha This was done in SAI on a Samsung Series 7 Slate. xD Basically just a mobile sketch pad. I'd considered getting something like the ASUS EEE Pad EP121...or an Android based tablet, but that was out of the Q cause I wanted Windows. And as mentioned before about the Tutorials, I didn't link them...but this is them, if anyone is curious about SAI. :) Paint Tool SAI - Basics Tutorial (voiceover) Remix HD - YouTube Paint Tool SAI - Coloring Basics (Voiceover) *my method* - YouTube |

MY DNA IS MADE UP OF ANIME
|
Talking about Persona in the "what are you currently playing" thread and finally finishing up classes convinced me to finish this up. I've been pecking at it for months (little coloring here, little coloring there, etc.).
click for bigger size. I made a version with softer lineart (blended/colored) but I actually preferred the plain black despite working harder on this: It's on my deviantart account if you're interested in checking out my other stuff. I haven't drawn anything in forever. I need to start sketching stuff again before I regress. Last edited by captaincrunch; 05-05-2012 at 03:21 PM. |

just hit up a few life drawing classes if you really want! They're always good. Really easy to find regular ones too! They're always on everywhere! But i'mma start posting again! I feel I've been missing out and slipping on some duties as claiming club editor XD But here's a few videos of some 3D pieces I've been working on for Uni assignments. Hope you find them good XD Video game character: Fire Mage Miyra - ANI203 Video Game Character - YouTube Video game environment: ANI204 Game Level - Zen Garden - YouTube I also have a feeling I've already linked these two before. They're older ones, so they might have been posted here. But if not then here goes! Advanced 2d project: ANI201 Advanced 2D Animation project - YouTube 3D Creature: Advanced 3D Animation Project for University - YouTube |
