Default Vector and Raster in the Anime Industry

So, i was wondering if anyone knows which is more common in the modern anime industry. Do studios use vector based art programs (like adobe illustrator)? Or do the use raster based programs (like adobe photoshop)?

I'm not really that knowledgeable about the process of making modern anime, but i know a lot of work is done on computers nowadays. Is the work split up, like line work is done in a vector based program, while coloring is done in raster based programs?

Also, how much is done by hand these days? Just storyboards?

If any of you have any informative links on the modern animation process i'd be really interested to hear about that.

Thanks for the info. =)
