yes, i forgot to say; some of these were done in a fashion style, on the first picture the blue ink/wash is in a fashion style the charcoal/ink wash was traditional. generally the ones of the younger model are in a fashion style.
ps: please dont say interesting style or w.e to me because from what ive found this is an extraordianrally patronising forum and i dont knwo if you being sincere; because on most thread things like "interesting style" and "i like your style" area differant way of saying they're shit. Um personally, I dont care for any of them. I just dont like the technique. I prefer clean lines. Sry.
The B/W picture of the back side of the striped shirt is about the only one that looks somewhat decent to me. |

I absolutely LOVE that first one. The mix of the charcoal and ink works well. I'm quite a big fan of a looser style of working, not only do I find that a tighter style always shows up more faults, but the looser style is more fun. (plus to be honest when I was at college and we were asked to churn out A1 charcoal or ink life drawings in 5 minutes or less, you generally don't have time to think too much about clean lines)
I also really like the 6th one down with the hint of skin colour and the blueish top from the back, very nicely done, and I normally prefer black and white stuff (or just a single colour per figure) From a personal standpoint, my lease favourites are the second one down and the one on the green background, purely because there's not as much shading as with some of the others, again a personal preference. Though I must say, I really like the way you've handled the fabric in both. Drawing any kind of fabric has always been a bit of a struggle for me. :) All in all, good job! (and I mean that geniunely :D) |
