The song has the right beat for an AMV song, not too sure about the lyrics though. I'd try to find another one honestly.

Depends which way you plan to edit.
If you want to edit by the song or by the anime itself. Perfect example of the later is the amazing Death Note amv Spoil. The song they used was Celldweller - The last firstborn and if you read them lyrics you would never think that this song would even fit well with Death Note. However if you watch the video you see how well they took a song with a good beat and "Meh" lyrics and created a masterpiece. As for your songs I think both could work fine depending on how you work with it.

Hmm, I didn't like either of those songs, but I have had an idea myself for a while now, to use this for Death Note. I just don't have the stuff to make an AMV, or even the patience, lol.... Anyhow, whenever I listen to this song, I always think Death Note :p
