[COMPLETE][Request] Email notification of someone adding you as a friend.

I don't know if this has ever been brought up before, but I didn't see it anywhere.

As the title says, I think it would be nice to receive an email notifying us of when someone adds us as a friend on our profiles; we get emails for new profile comments, but not for friend additions.

It would be nice for occasions when I have been discussing something on the site or forums with someone and they add me as a friend- currently I may not even realize they added me.

I know you can manually check who has added you as a friend in the friends tab, but it would be nice to receive an email notification that someone has added me, because there's generally a decent chance I'd accept the gesture and them as a friend as well. As it stands now, however, its quite possible I may never even notice they added me.

Your thread basically sums up my thoughts on the matter; sorry for the duplicate thread, I hadn't seen yours.

I think that in the short term the notification is the most important step though-- it should certainly be less costly to implement that than to overhaul the entire friends system.
