I'm not sure that A-P doesn't already have this feature, but it's a little harder to tell with pagination, so I'll ask.
Let's say for whatever reason that you don't want to look through all the recs you've made, but you want to make a rec without realizing you've already made this rec. Is there a stopper or warning that says "You've already made this rec for this anime"? Or would both recs be posted? So if I, last year, made a Ninja Scroll--->Afro Samurai rec, then yesterday tried to make another Ninja Scroll--->Afro Samurai rec, would a message pop up?

^^ What he said.
When you click to add a rec for a given anime/manga, it lists all recs you've already made for that series. Also, you can only make a maximum of 6 recs for any given series. Once you've made all 6 recs, you won't have any open fields left to make more.
